No more deforestation for Wood-Based Fibers.
Abercrombie & Fitch Co. ( including Abercrombie & Fitch, Abercrombie kids and Hollister brands) has announced a new policy on the sourcing and use of wood-based fabrics, including rayon, viscose and modal
in its clothes.
The company collaborates with the Rainforest Action Network (RAN), whose ‘Out of Fashion’ campaign has been bringing attention to the ecological and social problems of deforestation in countries like Indonesia.
By mid-2018, the company will establish the origin of its suppliers’ fibers and stop collaborating
with companies sourcing from ancient and endangered forests, or linked to human rights violations of people that
depends on forests wellness.

More and more brands are recognizing that sustainability is demanded by the consumer and make use of the power of the positive message for their brand communication.
Ralph Lauren also announced that they would take action to ensure that its whole group do not contribute to rainforest destruction and human rights violations.
